american fork canyon

chris and i took a little drive up AF canyon on sunday,
and listened to Elder Holland's talk via radio...
oh boy is he not the most powerful speaker?
I had chills the whole time.
{watch the video here. read text here}
and seeing the amazing fall colors made everything that much better.

i mean really, how beautiful is the world?
since the last month i've never felt worse, and i've been pretty negative
it helped to remember how beautiful and good things really are.
and i've been looking at these pictures a lot to try to remember good things
since i am soooooo tired, and exhausted, and burnt out,
and over everything right now.
i need all the "happy, good" inspiration i can get!

There is something to be said of taste that inspire as seen through the eyes of one with a cultivated eye, unfortunately I’m not the one best able to say it but I’ll say this. You my dear have an eye for the divine. I will follow with interest and appreciation.
All my best,
Simone

As a person who is fairly ambivilent about faith I really do admire how you seem to bring your faith into your everyday life - lovely photos x

You know I've been having a rough time lately too. I've been feeling very overwhelmed with work and school and homework it's hard for me to find anytime for myself to relax.
Well yesterday while I was driving to class, I was feeling really frustrated because it seemed like every light I came upon was red. I was getting really upset until I heard a song that I like come on the radio. I turned it up blaring loud and danced in my car all the way to class. By the time I got there, I felt so refreshed.
Maybe it was only temporary but in that moment I felt fun again.

I think you should try it. You never know, you might love it.

I'm glad the drive cheered you up and made you grateful for things and such. It's so nice to get back to that good place when your world starts to be full of negativity. Beautiful Pictures. I really do think we need to meet up for some Holga and Diana tips. I get so disappointed when I get mine developed and they look like normal photos. I'm doing something wrong.

Cheer up! Don't let the man get you down.

I LOVED Elder Hollands talk too. Wow.
I also LOVE American Fork Canyon. I've taken my son there to pan for gold. No luck but I enjoy the beauty anyway!
I think everyone has days or weeks like that. But it does help to be able to appreciate the beauty in the world. It helps to be inspired by others.
You inspire people. I hope you remember that and can feel the peace you need.
