The Beach in Chicago.

Everyone here calls it the beach, which is really quite funny.
But now, when I hear "the beach" I think of this, instead of the California beaches from last year.

We took a walk to the waterfront, and here I am showing my love for our favorite team, even if they royally suck right now. We miss Darren Williams every.single.day!

Anyway, back to Chicago and the beach. This is the view from the dock! I love it.
One side water. One side gorgeous buildings!

And there you have it folks. The Chicago "beach" captured on 35mm film.

Now, off I go to curse the hot, humid weather, and the fact that we don't have central air
(what the heck was I thinking when I said I would be okay without it)!!
I feel like I'm either cursing the cold or the super hot. Can we get an in between pleaseeee?
Oh yeah...we moved from Southern California, so that no longer exists. Shiz!

I'm moving to Chicago until I start school in the fall, and I've been hearing ALL about this alleged "beach" from my best friend, ever since I agreed to go there. I have a feeling I'll be visiting this blog a LOT more often to see out a more unbiased (and on point) opinion on whats really going on up there.

i think i consider it a beach because it has sand, as opposed to lakes where there is just a grassy drop-off into the water. but i agree it's nothing like California, or Michigan for that matter. you should really head up north to the Foster Ave. beach (even Montrose is sometimes TOO busy). the northern and southern beaches are way less crowded :)
