I am super excited about this giveaway today!
As I have stated many times before, I love the We Are Women blog.
It is so empowering to women, and one of my daily reads!
Well, We Are Women is also a book!
The We Are Women book is a compilation of essays, and photographs, that was organized by Allison Barnes with the idea of expressing the importance and divinity of womanhood.
The best part: All the proceeds from the book go to the Campaign to End Fistula.
What is Fistula, you ask? Allison wrote a blog post explaining. Read HERE!
Well, after finishing the book, Allison started the We Are Women blog,
to continue to express the importance of being a woman.
It is now a place to talk about our own experiences, and those of women who have been a part of our lives.
Today, the amazing bloggers behind the We Are Women blog, are giving away a copy of the book!
To enter the giveaway:
1. Leave a comment telling us about a woman who has inspired you.
2. For an extra entry: Become a follower of the We Are Women Blog, and leave an additional comment.
3. Winner will be announced this Friday, the 15th!
But don't worry... if you don't win, you can still purchase the book (or as a file download) here.
Remember, all proceeds go to help end Fistula.

"To be a woman of creation is to feel the compulsion to make something -- anything -- with your hands, your mind, your heart. We make music, we tell stories, we form communities, we pursue social change, we garden, we teach, we heal -- we find a million different ways to fulfill our creative desires. With every exercise of our creative abilities we contribute more than we realize to the world."
-Whitney Hardie, We Are Women of Creation

My best friend Tiffani has inspired me in almost every aspect of my life. I want to be just like her!
My grandma has inspired me to keep the love alive with my husband ...even 50 years later.
kandee johnson has inspired me that I can be beautiful, outside and inside.I want my heart to be as kind as hers!:)
Aw, thanks for the opportunity! The women that inspire me the most, are my mother and my mother-in-law. Such strong and independent women, with loving and caring hearts!
one woman who has inspired me is my friend ella.
we met when she came from korea and i came from the american west to intern at the United Nations.
she is one of the most fun people i have ever met and is also very resilient, smart and accomplished.
however, the reason she inspires me so much is her genuine kindness. her interest in her friends, their lives and concerns are so much more than thoughtfulness.
she truly shines with virtues often neglected in modern society.
i want to be more like ella!!
i am also a follower of the awesome WAWP blog! check for my comment there.

my mom is one of the most selfless women i've ever known. she never puts herself first, and is always more concerned about others needs than her own. she raised 8 kids and i can't remember her ever raising her voice at us -- she has always been an example of love, kindness, and service.
My mom inspired me as a woman. She tried to be the best mom she could be and taught us the importance of being proud that you're a woman. She taught me that womanly strength is different that manly strength, and that's okay.
I would love to read this book!
I'm such a dork, but my yoga instructor always inspires me to be a better more patient woman, mother, wife, sister, friend and daughter! Life is only worth living if you are enjoying and appreciating every moment :)
It might not be sticking exactly to the rules but...ALL women inspire me, everyday. Womanhood is such a wonderful and precious bond we have and for that I am truly grateful. I am constantly inspired by how strong, resilient, intelligent, beautiful, nurturing, fun & fabulous we all are in our own ways. I think the most inspiring thing about women is that we know how to strive on through to always come out the other side stronger & with dignity. We can smile a sweet smile which would melt a thousand hearts. We are strong but veiled in soft beauty. And that alone makes us unbeatable and formidable!
(But if I do have to stick within the rules, then the one woman who has inspired me more than any other is my Mother. She produced me, went through pain for me, raised me, taught me, directed me onto the right path, allows me be me, supports me, fights for me and loves me... you don't get more inspiring than that!).
Thanks for such a great opportunity to write this. What a super competition!
Thank you!
My mum inspires me because she's been through so much in the last few years, and i'm not sure how she has overcome all of it but she has. My mum takes life as it comes deals with it in a fantastic way that I wouldn't even be able to. She is such a strong lady who smiles and laughs everyday even though she lives with something that would get most people down, so that is the woman who inspires me.
My mum has inspired me ever since I was a baby. I have a very close-knit family and she has kept us all together through thick and thin, even when she wasn't at her best she united us all and I am so proud to have her as my mum. She is a wonderful woman who sees the best in eveyone, I couldn't ask for a better perosn to be inspired by.
My friends inspire me, including you and Camilla. Ruth and Naomi from the Bible inspire me. Stories of Levi's mom inspire me. And my own mom inspires me. All of you make me want to be a more loving, selfless, generous, and hardworking woman.
